The new camera system, which has not yet been named, combines the Sentry360 FS-IP8180 8 megapixel 180 degree hemispheric camera, the HauteSpot Networks’ microNVR storage and edge video processing platform, HauteSpot’s HauteMOBiLE-C router, HauteSpot’s MVEvideo processing software, and a commodity 3G/4G USB cellular modem all in an innovative low profile enclosure.

The complete system can be quickly installed to any light pole, fence post, or building side in minutes. Just aim the camera horizontally or vertically and connect power. The system consumes less than 15W at 12VDC, making it easily powered by solar, wind, PoE, or even battery for short periods of time. It can also be powered from standard AC city power. The integrated heater/blower allows the system to operating in extreme temperature environments.

The FS-IP8180 camera has a wide field of view with excellent pixel density, providing sharp images with a large coverage area. With on-board, hardware accelerated de-warping, fast frame rate 8MP images can be stored on the microNVR’s high capacity internal storage.

The MVE edge video processing software then reliably transmits the video over narrow bandwidth links like 3G cellular at best effort resolution. If 4G cellular is available, the image quality, resolution and frame rate will increase, approaching full native camera rates.

The demonstration will show live streaming from the Sentry360 Security Inc ISC West booth 23139 over public cellular to the HauteSpot Networks booth 9139.

Patient and asset tracking software and communication system delivered by Global Emergency Resources and HauteSpot Networks helps multiple agencies manage the 2013 Presidential Inauguration.

San Luis Obispo, CA., Jan. 27, 2013 – The 2013 Presidential Inauguration brought landmark changes in emergency management and spectator safety. For the first time, inaugural personnel used a powerful situational awareness software suite and wireless communications system to track medical emergencies; reunite lost family members; and provide real time information to event organizers. Emergency personnel from The District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and the United States military integrated emergency data using HC Standard® (https://www.ger911.com/products/hcstandard) – a patient tracking and critical asset software solution developed by Global EmergencyResources, LLC (https://www.ger911.com/) based in Augusta, Georgia. The mobile systems and devices were enabled to communicate over various methods including the Ewrap™ (Emergency Wireless Routing Access Point) system developed by HauteSpot Networks (https://www.hautespot.net/) for Global Emergency Resources.

HC Standard® and the Ewrap™ system allowed local, state and federal agencies, including the National Parks Service, Secret Service, the Red Cross, and Homeland Security officials to have a common operating picture of major events during the Inauguration, including the Presidential Candlelight Reception; the Inaugural Parade; activities along the National Mall; the Commander in Chief Ball; the Inaugural Ball; and the Inaugural Prayer Service.

The DC Department of Health partnered with the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Service Systems (MIEMSS), the Northern Virginia Emergency Response System (NVERS), and the Maryland Department of Human Resources (MD DHS) to provide patient care and tracking throughout the event. Each partner used its own installation of HC Standard® to enter patient data with Motorola MC65 handheld devices. The MC65 handhelds then linked over either cellular or standard 802.11b/g/n "WiFi" through one of 18 Ewrap™ communications systems strategically placed at tents around the Capital Mall back to command centers in real time.

The Ewrap™ system is a waterproof, rugged, portable communication system which combines advanced wireless mesh, multi band broadband connectivity, high speed wired Ethernet, and multi technology/multi band cellular (LTE, EVDO, UMTA, HSPA+, and GSM EDGE) wireless backhaul to maintain constant, always on communications, along with long range 802.11b/g/n access point function for client device connections. The electronics are based on HauteSpot's HauteMESH™ router product, but enhanced and integrated into the case, antenna, and power system by GER. Each Ewrap™ is fully self contained with batteries capable of running for several days, yet the system is light weight and easy to carry by hand. The Ewrap™ is intelligent and automatically selects the best backhaul connection.

Around the Mall the Ewrap™ units would communicate to each other over mesh. Then each Ewrap™ would connect over the carrier cellular network, announcing it's cellular status over mesh to all the other Ewrap™s. If an Ewrap™ could not connect over its local cellular connection, it could use the connection of another Ewrap™ on the mesh.

Patient and incident management data was aggregated and shared in all the different agency's systems so that EMTs, first responders, and command center leaders could see the full picture of Inaugural events as they occurred.

During the Inauguration, volunteers from the various EMS agencies used the Motorola Handled devices running HC Standard® to track emergency or first aid case, then transmitted the data back in real to each of the three emergency operations centers where the data was plotted, displayed, and used for the event tracking and management. Additionally, family members who were lost, and those who were looking for them, had their information uploaded in real time to a multi-jurisdictional database so they could be more easily reunited. Even the 100+ horses that carried the mounted police were part of the HC Standard® operating picture.

This Presidential Inauguration demonstrated their hard work is paying off”. In-Vehicle

The complete solution starts with the HauteSHOT™ microNVR located in the vehicle. The microNVR is an intelligent computing platform that serves several functions: it is a video recorder; a sensor and automotive data acquisition system; a GPS location tracker; a system health monitor; and even a wireless IP router. All of these functions are combined into one compact, lightweight device. The microNVR can function as a wireless access point or client station for 802.11B/G/N, a video push/pull server, a Web Cam server, a network attached storage server, and a full functioning computer running with a full function standard operating system. With dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, the microNVR is the heart of an in-vehicle mobile area network.

By running the Mobile Evidence Case Manager application on the microNVR you enable a complete “Black Box” recorder system which can capture, store and index all of your data and video locally. Then attach mega-pixel IP cameras, USB cameras, USB OSDII (vehicle onboard diagnostics), USB GPS receiver, audio input devices or any other network capable device. Now chain of evidence grade “Vault” repositories are created which combine all of this data into one tamper proof folder.

At home locations, such as police stations, bus yards, schools, bus stops, court houses, jails and others along a route, the Mobile Evidence Case Manager application running on the microNVR can sense a connection to a repository storage server in a building and start a transfer of data.

Officers, drivers, and supervisors can use the in-vehicle tablet or laptop computers, smartphones, or PDAs to review live and recorded video while dispatch and management personnel can conduct specific search and playback of all recorded video.

Video Transfer

For lightning fast data transfer at speeds of up to 160Mbps TCP (actual throughput, not theoretical) add a HauteMOBiLE™, client router into vehicles and attach it to the microNVR with Mobile Video Vault. The HHauteMOBiLE’s 2x2 MIMO wireless interface can then link to any 802.11 access point or if you want super fast transfer you can use a HauteWRAP router which enables our TDMA-like protocol (TLP) which eliminates collisions and reduces overhead. Using TLP a 2GB repository can be transferred in less than 5 minutes, allowing for rapid offload of a full day’s worth of video in just minutes.

Video Storage and Management

Once the data is received in the home location it is managed by Mobile Evidence Case Manager surveillance video management and storage software. The video and data can be transcoded for storage at reduced frame rates or image resolution, it can have searchable substream created which speeds viewing of video without requiring full retrieval. Data collected becomes searchable meta tags on the video, allowing full relational search.

Mobile ECM also manages your near and off line storage. It allows you to seamlessly search your entire archive and call for tape mounts, dvd or blueray disks, or for files to be retrieved from disk.
